What we look for...

At Nebraska Sheltie Rescue (NSR), we are looking for the best and last home for each of our dogs. We do not feel that "any" home is better than no home. We are only looking for homes that:

• Treat their dogs like family members 
• Will keep this dog for the rest of the dog’s life
• Give their dogs the very best in veterinary care 
• Insist on a fenced yard for safety (non‐negotiable) 
• Keep their dog safe at all times
• Consider the dog’s welfare in all decisions
• Will make time to train their dog
• Will make time daily to spend with the dog
• Will make sure this dog is a priority
• Will make sure this dog never lacks for anything
